Primary Care physician Working title: primary care physician Approved by: St. Vincent Clinics director Created Date: 05/2020 Revised Date: 02/2024 EXEMPTION STATUS: Exempt Position summary Primary Care/Family Physicians are responsible for comprehensive patient care, from preventative and health maintenance to social and behavioral needs, and provide necessary services in the treatment of their patients. Ideally this physician will reside in Lake County and interact with the community.
MINIMUM education requirements - Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree.
MINIMUM work experience requirements - Previous working experience as a physician for 5 years.
- Adept at diagnosing problems and creating treatment plans.
- Has basic knowledge of regulatory compliance with RHC and reimbursement related to the family health center.
License/certifications - Current license to practice in the State of Colorado.
- Completion of residency in family practice or board certification by either Board of Family Practice or the Advisory Board of Osteopathic Specialties.
- Current ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC certification.
- Current DEA and DPS registration.
OTHER SKILLS - Familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
- Excels in communicating sensitive and/or adverse information.
- Sound judgement and expert decision-making ability.
- Analytical thinker and complex problem solving skills.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft office to include Excel.
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
